A precise, hands-on technique that restores healthy movement to joints in the spine and body.
- Back & neck pain
- Stiffness
- Posture
- Headaches
What it is
A chiropractic adjustment is a controlled movement applied to a joint that is stiff, restricted, or not moving as it should. Your chiropractor uses their hands, or a small instrument, to guide the joint through a short, specific motion. The goal is to improve how that joint moves and how the surrounding muscles and nerves respond.
How it works
When a joint loses normal motion, nearby tissues can tighten and nerves can become irritated. An adjustment briefly separates the joint surfaces, which can reduce pressure, reset muscle tone, and restore smoother movement. Many people hear a light popping sound; that is gas releasing from the joint fluid, not bones cracking.
Benefits

- May reduce muscle tension around restricted joints
- Supports better posture and everyday movement
